The area and its history
The region of the Acarnania Mountains has been continuously inhabited since prehistoric times. Most of the city-states that made up the Acarnania community were located in the Acarnania Mountains (Medeon, Torivia, Thyreion, Cecropia).
Ancient Torivia, located three (3) kilometers from our winery, is the oldest city-state of Aetolia-Acarnania with cyclopean walls and curved gates that are very well preserved to this day.
